PADI Enriched Air Diver [Nitrox], sometimes known as EANx, is enriched air that contains less nitrogen than ordinary air. Because you are breathing less nitrogen, you can enjoy longer dives and shorter surface intervals. It’s no surprise that Enriched Air Diver is the most popular PADI specialty. Enriched Air Diver certification allows divers to extend their bottom time and reduce the risk of decompression sickness. By using nitrox, divers can explore underwater environments for longer periods of time and have more time to appreciate the beauty and marine life that surround them.
