Exploring the underwater world at Koh Haa is a thrilling adventure not to be missed by diving
and snorkeling enthusiasts. It is a group of 5 small islands, about 45 min Southwest of Saladan.
Koh Haa Yai, the biggest of the 5 islands of Koh Haa, hosts one of the most famous diving spots
in the South Andaman, namely the Cathedral. On its southeast side you will find 2 huge
underwater Caverns, starting at a depth of 9m with the bottom at about 14m. (entry only for
certified divers). They are connected via a swim through, and those who want can surface
inside the Cathedral and take a breath without regulator to have a look at the stalactites formed
over the years. These hidden gems offer a glimpse into an enchanting world beneath the
waves. Further out, this mesmerizing location is adorned with an array of vibrant soft corals,
graceful sea fans, and majestic hard corals, creating a breathtaking spectacle for all who
venture below the surface. Not to mention an amazing variety in macro life, all the general reef
fish, and of course the occasional bigger pelagics.
Islands 2, 3 and 4 host a shallow lagoon (5-6m) with turquoise waters and a stunning beach,
perfect for both snorkelers and beginner divers taking their first breath beneath the surface.
On the most northern island nr 1 we find another famous dive spot, named the Chimney, which
is a tunnel starting at a depth of 5m and ending at a depth of 18m (only for Advanced divers with
perfect buoyancy control). The tunnel system is connected to another smaller cave called the fish bowl.
